Nine times out of ten, sales and booking objections are meant to be overcome.

After an illustrious sales career, I learned that that likelihood of someone saying YES after being asked only once, is very, very low. Just think about all of those mall visits where you’ve been hounded by the folks at the kiosks - they ask once, and you run. But they ask maybe 3 or 4 times? Well.. you might take pity on them and waddle on over.

Now, the goal of overcoming objections is to:

1. Not be weird

2. While we’re busy not being weird, actually gain a next step

That “next step” might be something as simple as getting further context as to why they said no to our pitch or pricing. That “next step” could also be overcoming that concern or fear or odd question they had but didn’t initially voice, so we can book and work with them.
